Pamedic Moment | Project of Medical Isotopes Preparation via Accelerator Kicks Off

On 28th March, the signing ceremony for the R&D Project of Medical Isotopes Preparation via Accelerator between Tsinghua University and Pamedic Holdings (Shenzhen) Limited was held at Tsinghua University.

Chairman of the Board of Pamedic Holdings, Mr Ivan Fu, stated that the Project concentrates on the research and optimization of the production processes of new medical isotopes such as Ge-68 and Ac-225. Tsinghua University possesses robust scientific research capabilities and abundant talent resources, and the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, Tsinghua University has achieved numerous world-class achievements in the field of nuclear energy and new energy technologies. Pamedic Holdings and Tsinghua University are confident through joint efforts in realizing premium quality and consistency of the products, scale-up and standardization for mass production. Docking with the upstream and downstream partners, Pamedic Holdings is committed to building an ecosystem of complete industry chain for nuclear medicine and promoting the development and application of medical isotope technology with the whole industry.

Talent cultivation is another key target of the Project. Mr Ivan Fu expressed that Pamedic Holdings is devoted to shaping a collaborative model integrating "technological innovation, achievement transformation, industrial development, and talent cultivation" through introduction of top experts and academic elites from around the world in nuclear medicine sector, and partnership with government, academia, and industry so as to cultivate talents for the innovative and sustainable development of the sector.

Medical isotopes are radioactive nuclide preparations, or compounds labeled by the isotopes and they are widely used in clinical diagnosis or treatment, such as immune diagnosis, tumor diagnosis and treatment, myocardial imaging, early disease detection, and diagnosis of inflammatory tissue imaging.

In addition, Pamedic Holdings, the Municipal Government of Luzhou and the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University are diving into further collaboration for covering the whole industry chain of radio-pharmaceuticals. For integration and extension, Pamedic Holdings will work with industrial resources for cutting-edge research and clinical application experiences of radio-pharmaceuticals.
